Coffee Dynasty

I was just reading how there are families who are dynasties because their family has been in the coffee industry for hundreds of years or more! it is so interesting to think of people hundreds of years ago having the same appreciation as we do.

That is cool how the families pass the knowledge and tradition of making coffee from generation to generation. Do you have a link to the article? Where were most of the families located? My guess would be South America and Europe.

I think these dynasties may come from Asia as well, especially Arab countries- where the coffee was originally grown and treated more than a drink - it was their religion.

Yep, there are families like these - take the Ospinas, for example - Ospina Coffee Company is the world’s oldest family owned coffee company and it was founded waaay back, in 1835.

The Douwe Egberts family comes to my mind - they started their business back in the 1753, and then continued their family traditions up to the 20th century when it expanded to the Europe.

Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking about - people doing and appreciating the same thing for hundreds of years. That is amazing and worthy of respect.

Yeah, it so nice to hear about those people who are skills on a one field and it is pass down from generation to generation. They are amazing!
