I am doing a milk stout this weekend (2nd all grain!) and I was planning on putting some coffee in with it, and I was wondering what is the best way to do it?
I've tried googling around and there's lots of responses ranging from adding a pot of coffee to the primary to adding ground coffee (very coarsely ground) to the secondary - like dry hopping. Have you guys had much experience with it? Also how much coffee is enough and what sort of coffee works best?
I remember speaking to one of the guys from Mclaren Vale about the White Coffee Stout (#6 I think it was) and I was told they added coffee at every stage of the brew, but I think one might be enough for a first try.
