Cold or Hot

Postby Krimer » 19 Feb 2010, 17:28

I drink cold coffee most of the time because I don't like my tongue being burned everytime I drink hot coffee. I know most people love to drink hot coffee in the morning but I'm different I guess because I prefer cold.

You might be wondering how to make cold coffee. I dissolve the coffee, sugar, and creamer with hot water then pour in cold water and ice. This is my coffee. :d

Hi Krimer,

I find it always interesting to learn how other people do things!
As for me, I prefer my coffee hot but not too much, while my dad drinks it right after brewing. Even if just a minute had passed he sais it's too cold...

Hello Krimer! I like your recipe but does it really taste good? I mean I cannot imagine its taste as it seems to me it doesn't reveal the whole smell and aroma your coffee may offer you :-\

I definitely like it hot. It's too cold in my area for cold coffee :)

For me, it really tastes great. It depends on how you mix the coffee. I can still smell the aroma even though it is cold.

caffeine82, there are three seasons in my region: hot, hotter. and hottest. We are nearing the hottest season so a cold coffee is exactly what I needed. I used to drink hot coffee in the morning but because of the warmer climate that we have, I usually get uncomfortable after drinking a hot coffee.

I like any coffee - be it cold, hot or warm. And that's because I cannot imagine my life without the drink. I travel a lot and it sometimes happen that a hot cup of coffee can be hardly found. So, as Krimer said, I used to drink hot coffee only but now I'm glad to enjoy it in any shape; the only concern - it should be a true coffee not an apology :-bd

I like any coffee! It's not important for me!

I like cold coffee( or coffee coctails) with pizza :YMSMUG:

I know, the phrase "cold coffee" is strange but there are a lot of 'cold(Iced) coffee':
- Farmers Union Iced Coffee (popular brand in Australia)
- Tim Hortons (In Canada)
- In Germany there are different types of Eiskaffee (iced coffee)
- Frappé(Greece)
- Frappé coffee (Italy)
- Iced coffee (アイスコーヒー aisu kōhī){In Japan}
Some things in life are better rich. . . coffee, chocolate, men.

In the past five years or so I have swapped more to the cold side but I still enjoy hot coffee now and then (esp. during cold winter months). I am not a morning person by any means and hot coco or tea will not cut it for me.

You bet! I basically take a shower 3x a day (twice at night). We are now in the hottest season and we will be in this season for at least 3 months.

I just drank 2 cups of iced cold coffee and it is refreshing while keeping me awake. Summer heat makes me sleepy at noon and only a cold coffee can keep me awake.

The only cold coffee I really like is a coffee-flavoured Baileys with ice cubes. It's an alcoholic, creamy coffee cocktail which is not too sweet just really delicious!

Cold coffee or iced coffee to me is really more of a treat. When I want coffee, I want coffee!! Hot, steaming, fresh brewed. That is the only kind of coffee that will perk me up and start my day, or give me that "second wind".

Coffee combines with Baileys very well!! Baileys has a sweet taste. and as regards alcoholic cocktail, did you know that drinking coffee cuts alcohol's harmful effects. one cup of coffee per day cut the risk of alcoholic cirrhosis by 20 percent. four cups per day reduced the risk by 80 percent.

I never knew this before but I'm wondering if there will be bad side effects of drinking too much coffee.

I drink iced coffee occasionally. I like my coffee to be warm as it will awaken all my senses.

As regards bad side effects, I don’t know.. maybe we fix one thing and break another…
but anyway, the main thing is not excessive use, it’s my opinion

I am taking hot coffee as we speak. It is cold and I am awaiting the results of a referendum poll so I might have to be up past midnight. Cold coffee is nothing I have ever considered. In the hot season, I would prefer something between hot and cold.

That's what I'm thinking. It may be good for one purpose but we might accumulate something bad in exchange. I'm guilty of drinking too much coffee but what can I do, I love it. :)

There's something just *wrong* to me about cold coffee! Coffee is meant to be hot, in my opinion. ~o) I've tried cold (iced) coffee, but I just can't get myself to like it.
