Does coffee really stunt your growth?

Postby starbuck » 15 Jun 2011, 08:13

Does anyone believe this phenomena anymore? I certainly don't, I think it's a load of bull. I believe that it is a healthy drink even for kids when drunk properly. It's not like they are getting any less caffeine with soda!!!

I'm so sorry I haven't noticed this topic before: of course, I don't believe myths like this one. I think it's a nonsense - how could coffee oк any other non-acloholic drink stunt your growth? :-\

I've been drinking coffee since I was around nine years old, and I'm only 5'4", so it actually might. I don't think it's genetic, because most of my family are average to above average height. I'd be careful with it until you're at least 18 to 21 years old.

I don’t believe that, even though I’m not tall but coffee has no any side effects when it comes to the growth. But instead, coffee has many benefits that will surely help everyone. Coffee has a number of health benefits for people with depression, diabetes, heart disease, cancer and etc.

I have also found something on cholera: "Hot coffee has been found of great use in promoting perspiration, and if the attack comes on after an indigestible meal, coffee is of special service", so coffee is really indispensable!

Coffee is harmless when taken in small quantities. That's all I can say, and you should better listen to me. ;)

Hmmm, so does it stunt your growth or not, I'm afraid that I didn't understand you :ymblushing: :-\

In my opinion, coffee cannot do any harm to a person, until one drinks it in moderation.

I know there are articles that say the opposite. Drinking coffee, you can actually program yourself for success and even lose weight. So no, I don't believe in this 'stunt your growth' theory.
