Coffee In The Evening

Postby Javalover » 26 Mar 2010, 18:01

Do you drink coffee in the evenings? I usually have a cup or maybe even two in the evening after dinner and it doesn't affect me at all but people usually look at me like I am crazy when I ask them if they want a cup when they are over.

I love my coffee in the evening but as I got older, the caffeine kept me up at night. I just buy decaffeinated now. I haven't found any flavored coffees that I like the decaf version, though. But the flavored creamers are okay for an occasional treat.

I don't tend to drink much coffee in the evening. I like the coffee to wake me up in the morning. I don't think coffee keeps me up at night, but I don't tend to drink that much at night. I try to stick to water at night.

Every now and then yes I do and its not super late, say after 9PM but its mid evening as I tend to work odd hours. There are days though when the only thing that keeps me going is the caffeine intake which i am sure is not the healthiest but what else can I do?

I have had coffee in the evenings and at night in college. Coffee and some loud music are the only things that would keep me awake during all nighters.

Do any of your know of any flavored decaf brands that are good? My choice would be vanilla or French vanilla, but I like hazelnut or mocha on occasion, too. I love the Don Fransisco's vanilla nut coffee but it only comes in regular. I mentioned it above but I should have asked with a roomful of coffee lovers.

Well, I refer myself to those people who don't imagine their life without coffee. So am I, and I drink coffee at night, of course. But this doesn't affect me, at least for now. ;)

Heheheh I am exactly the same! There is not much that I would choose if it came down to coffee and something else. :x I feel that I can't sleep if I don't have coffee before bed, but that could just be my addiction talking. :))

A kind of paradox - you cannot go to bed without drinking coffee, while others cannot fall asleep if drink it before bed ;) :d

I used to be someone who would drink coffee all day long. In an attempt to cut down on my caffeine, I try to just have one cup in the morning, and then for that midafternoon pick-me-up, I have another cup at about 2pm. I have found that I actually sleep very well at night if I drink a cup of coffee just before going to bed.

I drink coffee as often as I need to do this and when I feel I'm ready to take it, otherwise I feel uncomfortable and ill at ease :-)

I used to take coffee in the evenings just after dinner but it kept intefering with my sleep. Nowadays, and if i really have to, then it has to be without caffeine.

I am like this too. I don't drink coffee right before I sleep as I would toss and turn on the bed. I would drink coffee an hour earlier so that the effect of the caffeine will subside and sleepiness sets in.

For me, the effect of caffeine is like throwing a rock up in the sky. After it reaches the peak, it will decrease rapidly that I will need another cup of coffee to stay awake or go straight to bed.
