Instant coffee

What is your opinion of instant coffee? I think it has its place, but isn't the best coffee available. It's hard to get it just right and not too strong or too weak, for me.

I don't use it nowadays because I'm at home all the time and have constant access to my cafetiere but when I worked in an office it was convenient. I used to drink Kenco Costa Rica blend which was quite strong.

I don't use instant coffee either. I really do not like the taste or the consistency of it. It has probably been 4 years since I have even had a cup of it.

I don't really do instant either, but I have thought about trying the Starbucks instant. Has anyone tried it? I wonder if it is better than other instant coffees.
