I tried to prepare a latte art but I couldn't make it because of the milk. It was too liquid to pour in the pattern, so I received a mess which even I didn't like. So I need some help, please give me some hints about how to choose the right milk and what to do afterwards in order to prepare a normal latte art?

I've seen some gorgeous pictures of latte art. I have no idea how to do it myself. I think there was even a show on Food Network once where there was a competition for this. Has anyone seen that?

I didn't see that for sure, otherwise I would be able to do something more normal than my usual latte "art" nightmare.

I think you should use the freshest milk possible, with a certain fat content. And of course if you never did latte art before, it will be difficult to make it at first as it should be...
Take some lessons form a professional barista, watch some video lessons...Anything + experience will surely help!

I believe that the milk itself is not as important as its temperature. Begin with very cold milk and keep the milk temperature right above freezing. Keep the steam pitchers in the refrigerator also. This will allow you to steam the milk for a longer period of time to achieve the smooth and velvety texture that is required for latte art.

I think that, besides milk's temperature, it should also have as many fats in it as possible. That's just my two cents

I tried to do it myself once but it didn't work. So I thought that Starbucks does it better anyway, so why wasting my time and goods?!

I think you should use milk with more fat content in it.

Look for videos on youtube, I'm sure there is an explanation there as to what sort of milk o use while preparing latte art.
