Coffee spam

Postby lulu33 » 21 Jun 2010, 04:10

I'm sure everyone receives spam (I mean, your mailboxes)...Do you receive something coffee related? Do you ever read it? And if yes, does it make you buy that coffee or at least take an interest in it?

Well, I hate Spam and spammers, too but I cannot agree with the last post since it happens sometimes they make an interesting advertising, so it caches your attention and you read it, even under protest :ymblushing: ;) And it really happens sometimes the advertising helps you find a new locality or a shop which become "reliable partners" for years....

I do read newsletters from the sites that I buy from. They may sometimes offer deals I don't want to miss. But I mostly get spam letters about sex pills, etc. - that's what really annoys me.

I don't read any type of spam either because I feel it is intrusive, disrespectful of my time and it could also potentially be a virus. I got a re-director virus once from what I didn't know was spam, in an instant messenger, and NEVER again. That thing flat out crippled my pc for a day.

I never get spam about coffee! Not that I notice, anyway-- plus all my spam gets filtered into my spam inbox, and I don't pay much attention to that as I do my inbox.

I actually kind of want spam about coffee now. How is it you guys are getting it? :-b

I feel similarly to MaCoffee. I can't recall getting any spam about coffee, that would probably be decent compared to what I usually get. I don't usually open my spam, but I always browse it to make sure I'm not missing something that accidentally went there. If I could get spam about coffee and beer, I think my opinion of spam would drastically change. :P

Haha I though this topic may be about coffee flavored lunch meat! =)) I don't think coffee sellers would SPAM people, too much class. b-) If I saw anything coffee related in my junk folder I would assume it was a trick to make me read it, only to find out it was selling something else.

I don't recall seeing much coffee-related spam. The only thing I can think of are those offers online for different coffee deals, which are actually not that bad. "Coffee" spam sounds a lot better than some of the other subjects of spam!!

I agree that coffee-related spam is probably better than any other spam, but spam is still spam, however you call it, so it just annoys the bejesus out of me :YMDEVIL:

And why do you ask, lulu33? Are you planning on distributing coffee-related spam?

I don't read spam (even about coffee), and nor do millions of others, so what is there to gain from spamming?
