Coffee Easter Eggs

Postby Nicky » 07 Apr 2010, 03:43

If we need to receive eggs of dark brown colour
... we must to boil eggs in 250 ml of dark coffee.

After eggs were painted over, get them from a pan and allow to dry up. Then rub with a rag moistened in sunflower-seed oil.
Eggs will shine.

HAPPY EASTER!!! :-*
Some things in life are better rich. . . coffee, chocolate, men.

Thanks for the advise, Nicky. It's a bit sad though I haven't noticed your post before :-(

I wish I would have read this before Easter. I really hate using commercial egg dye kits and having to wonder what is in them. I am going to try this next Easter with my kids. Thank you for posting this!

How cool is this! I wish I would have seen it prior to Easter too. The dye you get in stores is really messy and this looks like a nice natural way to color their eggs.

Thanks for the advise, Nicky.
It is a pity to me that I have learnt so late about it...
