Coffee in movies

Don't all the best movies seem to have at least one scene where the characters are drinking coffee somewhere? Doesn't matter which genre-- from comedy to romance, I just love that scene! It's sort of like when people smoke in movies, I guess. It just always seems cooler to do it in the world of the movie than it is to do it in the real world, you know?

Of course, the only movie I can think of right now where people drink coffee is in You've Got Mail (romantic comedy), that whole scene in the coffee shop near the beginning when they're sniping at each other and drinking coffee angrily and then later near the end when they like each other more and it's so romantic. :x

You are very right! What about in 'The devil wears Prada'? That poor assistant is always in a coffee shop, tyring to juggle ten different orders, and then get back to the office in Olympic time!

There is hardly ever a movie without coffee, everybody is always carrying cups of coffee.

Agree with LucyCB - everyone is drinking coffee in movies - seeing a character drinking tea is a rare phenomena and means you are watching an English movie, like, Agatha Christie's Miss Marple, for example :d

I like the moment from Twin Peaks series when in one of the earliest episodes special Agent Dale Cooper and sheriff Harry S. Truman are served coffee with the taste of fish. That was funny to watch, especially their frightened and, at the same time, squeamish faces. :d

Every move has a scene with coffee in it. Except for the movies involving war and various kinds of fights, I guess.

It seems that we have two similar topics. How did it happen?

I would better post a topic here about movies without coffee at all. Any ideas? Maybe, some British films? ;)
