Coffee Delight

Postby MsCoffee » 21 Feb 2011, 22:42

This is absolutely one of my favorite recipes and when I am in the mood for something a little different for dessert this is what I make. This is actually one treat my girls like too and I don't worry about to much caffeine with this one.

Ingredients
5 scoops vanilla ice cream
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
5 cubes ice
Directions
1.In a blender, combine ice cream, milk, instant coffee and ice. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.

It's a real delight - the recipe you gave is really tasty - I have already prepared it for my friends, so thank you. I couldn't keep myself from posting here a recipe of a lemon pie which is the best match to your coffee delight. :d
Lemon Delight

Ingredients
1 (18.25 ounce) package lemon cake mix
1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, with juice
1/2 cup sour cream
4 eggs

1 (3.5 ounce) package instant French vanilla pudding
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, madarin oranges with juice, sour cream and eggs until smooth and creamy. Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
To make the frosting, stir together the pineapple and instant pudding mix in a medium bowl. Fold in whipped toping. Frost cooled cake.

Hmmm...I usually make my own coffee delight, too, with my recipe almost the same as yours...It's quick and easy to make. Sometimes when I crave for frappucino but I'm on a budget, this coffee delight recipe saves my day. At times, I add vanilla syrup for added flavor. Glad you posted the calorie content.
