When I was young the only coffee my parents drank was a weak instant so I didn't taste real, ground coffee until I'd left home and the first was a cup of real Turkish coffee brewed by the family of a fellow student. Do you remember yours?

Not exactly, because I started off with the sweet stuff from Starbucks--Frappuccinos, mostly--and only gradually moved to more bitter drinks.

I don't remember my first real coffee but I remember that when I first tasted it, I was like "mmm, what a muck"? since I was used to instant coffee from childhood

I guess I was blessed with parents who have always been drinking real coffee, it was very tasty, brought from latin America in most cases.

I think I was that lucky person who tried his/her real coffee at the time she actually began drinking coffee. I was fortunate enough to have only good coffee around.

It happened when I was 20. I got my first salary, and decided to give it a try. It spent almost everything but it was worth it.
