Coffee growing at home

I love to keep a garden because there is nothing more rewarding than eating something fresh picked from the garden. That feeling is an important point of my life. But what about coffee? Is there anyway that I could grow it at home?

That is a good question I will have to look into that but I am sure it is climate specific. I don't think I could grow it in Michigan but it would definitely be cool.

I think you could grow at home; may be not in your garden but at your house instead. I too was involved in growing coffee but I am too lazy to take care of it :d I'd rather buy some coffee beans and brew them than waste my time on such thing like growing :ymblushing: ;)

I tried growing coffee at home once but I think that's a bad idea. Coffee should grow in places like Africa, Asia, Latin America. Their climate is ideal for growing such crops, and our just doesn't permit us growing such plants as coffee. May be for decorative purposes only...

I would love it if home grown coffee was a feasible option but sadly it looks way too difficult for me. If you want to try you may find this link useful. (It does say you have to wait a few years for a flower and not to expect too much.)
