I have a mother-in-law who is obsessed with new recipes. She is also one of the biggest coffee lovers I know. I've been on the lookout for a good coffee recipe book but I'm having trouble finding one. She isn't big on blended drinks, but she likes anything else coffee flavored. Are there any good ones out there?

Hi Coffenut! Here's what I've found on the web for your mother-in-law - http://www.coffeefair.com/free-coffee-recipes-ebook.
Follow this link and you can download a wonderful coffee recipe collection from Starbucks. I think anyone of us would like to know how exactly is prepared their coffee, even though not everyone loves it....

Coffee: A Guide to Buying, Brewing, and Enjoying, Fifth Edition by Kenneth Davids (Author)

"When the first edition of this book appeared in the mid-1970s finding a good cappuccino or a bag of freshly roasted specialty coffee was an act of esoteric consumerism often requiring miles of freeway travel and penetration into select corners of large American cities...."

As far as I understand, your mother likes various recipes and collect them for sure. So why don't you advise her write a book with recipes gathered from friends? It would be a nice one, I guess... ;)

The Professional Barista's Handbook by Scott Rao

The Professional Barista's Handbook is a very efficient training manual for espresso, and features some great information on brewing too (plus a couple pages on tea ... why?) I was impressed with how concise it is, and how useful it will be for the home enthusiast.

That sounds like a cute idea. I like the idea of a personal recipe book that is more than just general opinion. It would be pretty neat!

Not yet, actually. I've been waiting to let her move in to her new home and adjust a little bit. I still think it will be a good idea for her though. I think she has been looking for something to fill her time with!

That would be really cool if she wrote her own recipe book. I wish I had the time and patience to do something like that. Once she's published we will expect signed copies okay? lol

Here's the one I bought for my mom:
The Ultimate Espresso Machine Cookbook

I think it will be a great present if your mother-in-law has an Espresso machine.
