I visited Italy some long ago and tasted their native tiramisu. WoW! it was something I never tried before or after! I wish my boss gives me another mission to travel to Italy and try this piece of heaven once again!
Here's the recipe:

Tiramisu' Alla Milanese
Ingredients:
4 oz. Dark chocolate
1 lb. Mascarpone cheese
3 Eggs
8 oz. Savoiardi cookies (or some other porous, egg containing cookie)
1 - 1 1/2 cup Dark coffee (doesn't have to be espresso)
3 - 4 tbs Sugar - depending on how sweet you like it
1/4 - 1/2 cup Marsala wine

Directions:
Place mascarpone, the yellow of the eggs and sugar in a bowl and then whip until it gets homogeneous and thick (you could use an electrical whipper). Dip quickly one by one the savoiardi cookies in freshly prepared hot coffee (mixed with marsala in the alcoholic version) and place them in another glass bowl (better a flat one) in one or more layers depending upon the size of the bowl. Pour the mascarpone sauce on such layers and cover the whole sauce with chocolate dust (make it as fine as you can). Refrigerate for at least four hours and serve after an italian dinner.

I think there's an easier way to get a tiramisu, muggles :-) Go to the nearest confectionery, they will be glad to offer you a wide range of their goods, incl. tiramisu. Though I must admit, it feels like it is much more delicious to prepare something with your own hands. :-)

I tried to make Tiramisu several times. Last time I added Amaretto, that was fantastic taste, really!! You can sprinkle a little with Amaretto. Coffee harmonizes with Amaretto very well! :ymparty:

but... :d
I recommend to try this recipe =)
The name of the traditional Italian dessert Tiramisu means pick-me-up :-! :-! :-!

Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups strong, freshly brewed espresso
1/3 cup coffee liqueur, such as Kahlua (optional)
Vanilla Sponge Cake
1/4 cup finely ground espresso
2 pints espresso ice cream
2 pints coffee ice cream
Chocolate Curls

Directions:
Place sugar and 2/3 cup water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in espresso and Kahlua. Let the syrup cool.
Using a serrated knife, cut sponge cake in half horizontally, making two layers. Place one layer in the bottom of a 9-by-9-by-2-inch baking pan. Using a pastry brush, brush with 3/4 cup cooled syrup. Sift 2 tablespoons ground espresso over cake.
Place espresso ice cream in the bowl of an electric mixer. Beat on low speed with the paddle attachment until spreadable. Spread ice cream over cake; top with second layer of sponge cake. Brush with remaining syrup. Transfer cake to freezer for 20 minutes.
Remove cake from freezer; sprinkle with remaining 2 tablespoons of ground espresso. Place coffee ice cream in a mixer bowl. Beat on low speed until spreadable. Spread ice cream over cake, forming large swirls. Return to freezer; freeze until completely hardened. To serve, garnish with chocolate curls.
